I have been an independent culinary reviewer for over 5 years and like many, I have a taste for the finer things in life, fine cuisine, inviting ambience and an overall enjoyable experience that can be cut with Buster Warenski’s “The Gem Of The Orient” knife.

As much as I would love to travel the globe and experience sipping Dom Perignon Rosé Gold Methuselah at Alain Ducasse’s Plaza Athenee or savouring the culinary delights cooked by Guy Savoy in Paris and sampling Chef Masayoshi Takayama’s master felt creations at Masa in New York, what I have come to realize is, that we have all of this talent in South Africa, in fact even better.

Home to some of the finest restaurants and chefs in the world, so my blogs take you on a delectable journey from your home, through dynamic and proudly South African eateries, from a Michelin Star establishment to the more modest kitchen.

On this journey you will discover through my personal experience, documented with beautifully styled pictures that bring these gems to life, whether paired with fine wines, champagne, local sparkling wines and various craft or organic distilled liquors, you could discover your next culinary adventure.

This isn’t all about my love affair for food, but also about highlighting our remarkable chefs and restaurant owners, showcasing the flame and passion that ignites so strongly in them.

Albeit that South Africa is, in many way ways, influenced by global cosmopolitan cuisine, our local chefs show considerable talent and their culinary creations, many argue, can more than match up to their international counterparts.

As a proudly South African ambassador for our extraordinary everyday hardworking chefs to our skilled gourmet chefs, wine fundies and foodies, please join me in this dynamic and colourful journey and hold on to your hat … this is going to be one hell of a ride!
